1. Safeguard
Your Affiliate Link:
Go to
www.tiny.cc
Enter your long affiliate link by copying and pasting it,
then press that "Tiny It!" button and your new link
will appear. They can't mess with that!
Don't forget to copy and paste that "tiny" link somewhere
safe.
If you haven't done a "copy & paste" as
yet... use your mouse to select the link itself, by holding
down the left and sliding the mouse over the selected phrase.
Once you've selected it all, right
click while it's still selected and click "Copy".
Go to
www.tiny.cc and paste it by
left clicking next to the "http://" , then
right clicking and select "paste". Make sure
that the full link is there, including the http://
And be sure to test your new, safe link
once you've got it onto your site.
2. Keeping
Your Affiliate Links Safe & Easy To Find:
To keep my links quickly available, I started a new section in my Outlook programme...
"Affiliates".
You possibly use a different Personal Info Manager,
but you should be able to do something similar.
If you're an Outlook user, then click on the "Contact"
button in your folder list. Up the top click "file"
and from the drop down menu "folder" and then "new folder".
Name it whatever you want and you're ready to start.
When you're signing up as an affiliate
for a company or for a product, start an index card.
"File", "New", "Contact."
Fill in all the details, including the
date you signed up, the login
address and your
affiliate link and press "save and close".
Now you'll always be able to find that link when you need it.
3. Protecting The
Links On Your Web Pages:
Consider using a graphic to hide your
support email address on your web page. Or the odds
are that it will get scanned by the spammers and you'll
start getting more email than you knew existed! Use
a graphic button similar to the one below.
Don't have something you can use?
Right click on the the button to download that same image. Select "Save Image As" and decide which
of your
images files to save
it in on your own computer, until you can put it on your
webpage.

You'll note that it's a .png file and that
simply means that it will work on any webpage colored background, not just
white pages.
Enjoy!
